About

Right Steps was founded in 1998 as a vision by the organization’s Executive Director Dr. Chi Ekwenye Hendricks, the Board of Directors and a group of visionaries in the United States.  Click here to learn more about Right Steps’ mission

Chi came to the U.S. from Nigeria in the 1990′s for graduate studies. Being a woman in a male dominated society, Chi worked to acheive her goals, which ultimately were to give back to her society by showing the love and compassion of Christ to orphaned children in Nigeria.

Currently, Africa is one of the most conflict-torn continents on earth, with poverty, disease, political corruption and lacking economic infrastructure being the most common struggles for people in these areas.

Hundreds of thousands of men, women and children suffer everyday from the struggles in countries like Nigeria. The mission of Right Steps is to be able to help some of those suffering people through the struggles they face, especially those children who cannot help themselves.

This was the vision of Right Steps from its inception and today, the organization is one of the most respected and active organizations providing these services throughout the Niger Delta.
